Pharmacist Tip- This medicine takes about one week to kick on fully so be patient! It is very important to use it correctly to get a good result from the nasal spray. Blow your nose first , then block one nostril and then place the tip of the nasal spray just inside the other nostril pointing away from the centre of your nose ie. pointing towards your right shoulder if spraying into your right nostril and spray. The inhaled nasal steroid needs to exert it's effect anti-inflammatory effect on the lining of the nose so it is important not to inhale too deeply when you spray the nasal spray as you want it to work locally in your nose and your nose hairs will move the nasal spray gently along your entire nasal mucosa without the need for a big sniff which risks the product simply going down the back of your throat where it won't help your hayfever!
